On Monday, the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the United Kingdom’s special envoy.
The meeting was held in Riyadh, including the British Prime Minister Theresa May’s envoy, Simon McDonald, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

McDonald extended Britsh PM Theresa May’s greetings to the king wherein King Salman also expressed his best wishes to May and the United Kingdom. The two reviewed the two nation’s strong ties and friendship in a meeting that included the Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Mohammed bin Nawwaf, Saudi’s Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naid bin Abdul Aziz, Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, Minister of State and cabinet member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban and the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Simon Collis.
In March, the two countries even agreed in a $90 billion boost in the means of mutual trade and investment between the two, reports Arab News. The agreement came following a meeting between Britain’s Theresa May and MBS.
We have enjoyed many decades of exporting services, equipment and aircraft to Saudi Arabia. The point of a free-trade agreement is that it could be reciprocated in some form and I feel confident that Saudi Arabia will become a major exporter of goods and services. It is already making major strides in the area of ‘ease of doing business.
