The Kingdom Is Showing Zero Tolerance For Extremism With Stricter New Anti-Terror Laws

Avatar

Just a few weeks back, Crown Prince Mohammed announced that he visions a Saudi Arabia that is d open to all religions and devoid of religious extremism (and social media was ABUZZ).

And looks like the plan to make his vision come true is already very much in action.

A new anti-terror law has laid down the death penalty for anyone who commits or funds a terror crime that results in death

The new law will support a sentence of at least 15 years in jail for anyone found guilty of misusing his authority or his educational, training, social or media guidance status to support terrorism, according to Okaz.

Suspects that set up a terror entity, hold a leading position in it, received training with such a group , incite others to join them, or set up training grounds will be jailed between 10 to 30 years.

This includes people who use social media or other electronic means to support terror crimes in any way.

Providing terrorists with shelter, medical treatment, a place for meetings or a means of transport can also equal up to at least 20 years in jail

Fines will vary between SAR 3 and 10 million.

Just earlier this week, it was made clear that NOBODY is above the law when about a dozen princes and 30 plus ministers were arrested for corruption and money laundering.
