Avatar

Efforts to make Makkah and Madinah more accessible to everyone is currently underworks.

Braille Qurans have just been added to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah

Sign language signs and electric wheelchairs are also some of the new features in Makkah and Madinah to help pilgrims with disabilities conduct their religious rites.

Assistance services to offer them assistance and perform their rites with ease and comfort, especially during peak times, are also in the works with designated entrances to ease access to prayer areas.

According to Arab News, other provisions include a pen that serves as a Qur’an reader, and help for holding and carrying Qurans for people unable to hold them.
