The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has cancelled an article from the marriage law that will be in favour of women.
The marriage law was amended and the ‘house of obedience’ article, which granted husbands the right to force their wives to return home against their will, has been removed.
Wives now have the right to walk away from a marriage they do not desire, and not be forced to return.
