Twitter went into a frenzy when the hashtag #قاطعوا_المطاعم_الامريكيه or #BoycottAmericanRestaurants started trending on Wednesday. According to NewsWeek, this is being done by residents in the Kingdom as punishment for U.S. President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Among the American restaurants outlined are general favorites such as McDoonald’s, Burger King, Subway and Starbucks too.

All these restaurants are serving unhealthy food. It is good idea to boycott anyway. #قاطعوا_المطاعم_الامريكيه

Interesting to see this trending in Saudi Arabia “Boycott American restaurants”. Includes chains like Pizza Hut, Burger King, Mc Donalds etc #قاطعوا_المطاعم_الامريكيه

Okay see, I agree with boycotting American brands in a way but it’s not like a small percentage of the population would make a difference. If 10 people and I start boycotting them, they still have millions of other people purchasing from them
