Meghan Markle Has Launched A Charity Cookbook With Muslim Women In London And It’s SO Inspiring

Avatar

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has been visiting a Muslim heritage center that has been working to help those who were affected by the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire in London.

And she has teamed up with the women of Al-Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre in London to launch a charity cookbook

The fire killed more than 70 people in June 2017 and a group of women from the Tower and the community around it began gathering at the Al-Manaar center to arrange for food for their families, friends, and neighbors.

Ever since, the center had also offered victims temporary shelter after the fire.

And Meghan Markle has been making regular private visits since early 2018

According to Kensington Palace’s statement, she was “inspired by how the project empowers women at a grassroots level” and has team up with the women to launch “Together: Our Community Cookbook”, a charity cookbook featuring over 50 recipes from across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Revenues from the book will help keep the kitchen open all week.
