The Spanish La Liga is one of the most watched football leagues in the world. And, now news has come that the Super Cup, which is played by the top two teams of the La Liga and the Copa Del Ray may be held in Saudi Arabia.

According to Arab News, the president of the Spanish soccer federation, Luis Rubiales, has said that playing in the Middle East is being considered for the tournament.

If the deal goes through, it is believed that the tournament will be held in January next year.

If it does come to Saudi it won’t be the first big European league match to be held here as earlier this year the Italian Super Cup was played in the country.

In fact, two more matches of Italian Super Cup over the next four years will also be played in the country as part of the deal that is reported to be over $22 million.

It is reported that Saudi Arabia has offered to pay $30 million to the Spanish soccer federation per season to host the Super Cup.
