Over 3,000 People Caught With Fake And Forged Engineering Degrees And They Will Be Imprisoned For It
The Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) launched a massive campaign to bust bogus degrees. The campaign found over 3,000 engineers working in the country with fake and forged credentials.
The SCE coordinated with various universities around the world for the campaign.
The Saudi Gazette reported the chairman of the authority’s board of directors, Saad Al-Shahrani, saying that over 2,288 certificates were found to be fake and 712 others were forged.
Each and every bogus degree found during the campaign was issued abroad.
Majority of these bogus degrees were being used by expats.
