The 2019 King Faisal Prize (KFP) ceremony took place earlier this week in Riyadh and was attended by a number of dignitaries.
King Salman, himself, handed out awards to the winners during the ceremony on Riyadh
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques congratulated the winners at the event that took place in Al Faisaliah Hotel.
The KFP is a prestigious prize that recognizes individuals and institutions for significant contributions to their field.
It is now in its 41st year
Awards are given in five main categories: service to Islam, Islamic studies, Arabic language and literature, medicine and science.
