The move comes as weather authorities warned of increased chances of rainfall of varying intensity across most regions of the Kingdom until Thursday. Forecasts also indicate the possibility of strong downdraft winds exceeding 60 km/h, hailstorms, high sea waves in coastal areas, and potential flash floods in some locations.

Several other regions, including the Eastern Province, Hafar Al-Batin, Qassim, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Baha, have announced similar measures, prioritizing the safety of students and school staff

Authorities have urged students, parents, and educators to stay updated through official weather advisories and follow safety guidelines as unstable conditions are expected to continue over the coming days.
