Royal Orders Have Been Issued To Dismiss Al Assiri And Qahtani From Posts

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, issued three royal orders on Friday night as announced by the Saudi Press Agency.

The first royal order was to dismiss Ahmed Bin Hassan Bin Muhammad Assiri from his post as deputy president of General Intelligence.

The following order was to dismiss Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani from his role as an adviser at the royal court.

The third and final royal order was to stop the services of a couple of officers working in General Intelligence. The list of these people include Assistant Chief of General Intelligence for Intelligence Affairs Air Force Major General Muhammed Bin Saleh Al-Rumaih; Assistant Chief of General Intelligence for Human Resources Maj. Gen. Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al-Shayea; and Director of the General Directorte of Security and Protection at the Presidency for General Intelligence Maj. Gen. Rashad Bin Hamed Al-Mehmadi.

The orders come after the initial report of the Khashoggi case revealing his death

The directives and decisions made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, comes after the unfortunate incident that took the life of Jamal Khashoggi.

The General Secretariat reaffirmed on Saturday that the leadership of the Kingdom is keen on achieving justice and “to bring accountability those involved, as evidenced by its long history and as witnessed by its courts’ records, that the judges are independent and that they are under no check upon them, from any power, in accordance with the stipulations of Shariah and the applicable laws.”
