The young HH Prince Khaled bin Salman is starting off on the right foot as Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Washington. He visited Washington last month (as his first official ambasador trip to the US) and was welcomed by Maj. Gen. Peter E. Gersten, to tour around Las Vegas’ Nellis Air Force Base.

The 28-year-old prince says he wants to ‘reintroduce Saudi to the United States’

After meeting US President Donald Trump back in July, ambassador Prince Khalid mentioned that he will represent Saudi to the States on a different note, as it is ‘continuing to change and modernise’, as stated by the Saudi Press Agency.

Who is HH Prince Khaled bin Salman?

He is the son of HH King Salman, brother of the HH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud and a former F-15 pilot, who graduated in Mississippi at the Columbus Air Force Base.

Apart from that, he always earned a certificate for Senior Executives in National and Internal Security from Harvard University, and studied ‘advaced electronic warfare’ in France, according to Al Arabiya.

The Prince made a statement to the NY Times saying:

“Our leadership is trying to balance that and make sure we move forward and make sure every citizen in Saudi Arabia moves forward with us,”. He further explained that some people are going to support it, some people are going to drive it and some will be in the back seat.
