Saudi Arabia Has Just Banned Many Popular Video Games Due To Child Deaths

According to the Hollywood Reporter, games including ‘Grand Theft Auto V,’ ‘Assassins Creed 2’ and ‘Witcher’ have been banned in Saudi Arabia.

The total of 47 games have been banned by the Saudi General Commission for Audio-Visual Media says the report.

The past few weeks have seen the deaths of two children in the country. The two victims were a 1year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. They were believed to have killed themselves after taking playing the Blue Whale game.

The details of why these 47 games, in particular, have been banned have not been released by the authorities.
