Saudi Arabia has expressed the Kingdom’s support for France and its people after the huge fire in Notre Dame.

A huge blaze tore through the historic cathedral in Paris on Monday

The statement was made by the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry after the blaze struck the 850-year-old gothic masterpiece.

People on social media have also been showing their support – many from Saudi Arabia.

Architects would soon be invited to submit designs to replace the collapsed spire.

Investigators have been given their first access to the top of the cathedral to begin their probe into the cause of the blaze.
