Kuwait recently topped a survey by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for having the least physically active nation in the world.
However, did you know that Saudi Arabia actually came third on that list?
That’s a little more than half of the Kingdom’s population. We can almost hear your double gasps too.
Kuwait, who topped the list of the world’s top 20 least physically active nations, has a staggering 67% of its people who barely work out- or don’t at all.
These are the least physically active nations, according to the World Health Organization:

According to the report released by WHO, nations that DO exercise the most include Uganda (at the number one spot) with 5.5% of its population who are physically active, Mozambique (5.6%) and Lesotho with 6.3%.

The results should be an indicator now, more than ever, that physical activities should be promoted more and more in the Middle East.
It’s great that we’re starting to have communities, like the Ploggers in Jeddah, hosting their own methods of staying physically active, but we need to keep it pushing.
