Here’s what we know about Pizzi who has been handed over the reins to lead the Green Falcons.

He has played as a striker for teams like Valencia and Barcelona.

And, spent much of his club career in Spain.

In 2013-14 Pizzi even served as a coach for Valencia.

Almost 20 years after he had played for the side.

However, his most famous stint as coach was as the national coach for the Chilean team.

He took the nation to victory in the 2016 Copa América Centenario.
