In a major effort to safeguard public health, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has issued a curfew.

The new curfew will be enforced from today Monday, 23 March and it will be in effect from 7pm in the evening until 6am every morning for 21 days.

The Kingdom has announced a curfew to safeguard the health and safety of citizens and expats, this will be strictly enforced, but there are some exceptions. Scroll for details.

The curfew will last 21 days

  1. It will begin at 7pm in the evening until 6am in the morning
  2. All necessary measures will be taken to implement the curfew by the Ministry of Interiors
  3. There are some exceptions. Employees of vital public and private sectors whose work requires continued performance during the curfew period are exempt (including employees of the security, military and media sectors, and workers in the sensitive health and service sectors, for which a detailed statement will be issued by the Ministry of Interior)

ALL citizens are urged to stay home throughout the day, and not to leave, “except in cases of extreme necessity.” Preserving public health is the Kingdom’s top priority right now.
