Saudi Has Agreed To Allow Gender Mix For Local Staff Working At The New Apple Store

In recent news, Saudi authorities assured Apple that male and female employees will be allowed to work together without prosecution, reports the Financial Times. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has previously always stressed the vitality of diversity in companies. 

In a shareholder meeting earlier in 2018, he was quoted saying “We believe that the most diverse teams create the best product.”

The CEO of Apple even met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the Apple Park HQ 

Tim Cook and Crown Prince MBS met and discussed creating a curriculum for Saudi schools and potential job opportunities for young Saudis in Cupertino, as part of his global tour. Following their meeting, MBS was shown a presentation related to Apple’s work in health and marketing. 

Talks about opening a maiden Apple store in Saudi has been in discussion between the Kingdom and the company, and is reportedly going to launch in 2019.
