The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a statement regarding international bodies undermining Saudi, alongside the ongoing case of the missing journalist in Istanbul, Jamal Khashoggi.

The man went missing last week at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey and the Saudi Ministry has responded with a statement – against rumours against the Kingdom.

International leaders have been discussing the case, and questioning Saudi Arabia’s role in man’s disappearance, however the Ministry has affirmed it will not tolerate any accusations or political pressures.

Saudi Arabia has never tolerated international involvement in internal affairs

The statement explains that Saudi rejects any foreign involvement – affirming its role in achieving stability security and prosperity in the region, and its work to promote the goals with other nations.

It also says the Kingdom affirms its total rejection of any threats or attempts to undermine it: “whether by threatening to impose economic sanctions, using political pressures, or repeating false accusations that will not undermine the Kingdom and its staunch positions..”

The statement also confirms any actions against it will see ‘it respond with greater action’.

The Kingdom has categorically denied rumours it was involved in Khashoggi’s disappearance

Stating the news circulating are baseless allegations and rumours.

The Saudi consulate in Turkey has cooperated with Turkish officials in the investigation into his disappearance, allowing officials access to the consulate and CCTV.
