Saudi Plans To Train The First Female Air Traffic Controllers

Avatar

In an effort to increase the number of Saudi women in the workforce, the Kingdom will train women for positions as air traffic controllers. How amazing!

As part of the country’s Vision 2030, women will benefit from an increase in employment, as Saudi’s government aims to be less dependent on oil revenue.

Vision 2030 plans to increase women in the overall workforce from 23% to 28%

They also plan to increase women in senior civil service roles to 5%, according to Reuters. Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) plans to help 80 women with theoretical and practical training per year, so that they could transition to the position with ease.
