She is the only Saudi boxer that has competed internationally

After completing high school, al- Ghamdi took interest in boxing, initially, in hopes to lose weight. Pretty soon this lead to her eventually earning not one, not two but three black belts and four medals to her name. Oh and she did end up going from 155 kilos to 80 in only nine months, according to an interview with Al Arabiya.

How incredible.

Just last year, Donna joined the Arab Boxing Championship, which was held in Jordan and boxers from other countries like Egypt, UAE, Kuwait and Germany were in attendance.

The boxing community in the Kingdom welcomed her back into the country with a lot of love

A lot of social media love was sent towards Dona’s way for her amazing accomplishment, that is setting the new year off to a right start. The Saudi Boxing Federation even announced her triumph over their Twitter handle.

Her Highness Princess Reema bint bandar Al Saud extended her greetings too

You know you did well when the Princess and head of Saudi’s General Sports Authority extends her congratulations to you…

“A thousand congratulations to you”

…and the rest of the community are also super proud of Dona for her dedication

“Congratulations!”

“Mashallah, Our girls (saudi girls) are Boxing. Well done!”
