Soldier Musa Awaji Is Finally Back Home After Being Released By Yemen’s Houthi Militia

The Saudi Soldier, Musa Awaji, has thankfully arrived back to Saudi after his captors from the Houthi militia released him from Yemen.

According to Arab News, Houthis freed Awaji due to the gradual deterioration of his health and their inability to provide adequate care for him.

A joint negotiation by the leadership of the coalition forces and Martin Griffith, envoy of the secretary-general of the United Nations to Yemen. In exchange of the negotiation, the coalition agreed to release seven detainees.

He flew in to King Salman Air Base in Riyadh yesterday

At approximately 9:45pm, Awaji returned back to the capittal city safely and was careully escorted to the hospital to receive further help.

Col. Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesman for the Coalition to Support legitimacy in Yemen praised the International Committee of the Red Cross for their efforts in responding to ensuring that Awaji be released due to many worries about his health.
