Russia’s President Vladimir Putin gave a super warm welcome to the Kingdom’s delegation during the 7th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. According to Arab News, Saudi Arabia’s team went as one of the main guest countries of the annual event.

Putin took a selfie with Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan too, which has made multiple rounds on various social media platforms since he tweeted about it on Friday.

Prince Badr shared the selfie on his official Twitter account

“We responded to the invitation from our friends in Russia to participate in the St. Petersburg cultural forum, and it was an opportunity to meet with officials to promote cultural cooperation, the tweet said.”

The annual forum is set up to attract ‘culture experts’ from around the world

And this year was no exception to that success wherein guests from more than 100 countries were reported to have attended.

The two-day event hosted several programs of which, all promoted a variety of cultures, such as; circuses, theaters, cinema, literature and even pop culture among others.

This isn’t the first selfie of Putin with a Saudi individual

Exactly one year ago, the Russian President Putin also took a selfie with the Kingdom’s football star Sami Al-Jaber during a formal event at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

He even seemed to have a bit of a smirk in that one.

Let’s not also forget the epic photobombing by player Samuel Etoo!
