The first auto insurance claims center for woman has opened on Tuesday in Jeddah. The strategic opening comes a month before the implementation of the royal decree that allows women to drive by June.

Salama Insurance is the first insurance claims center and it has opened their latest branch, just for women, in Al- Madinah Road, reported Saudi Gazette.

The center is run by an all-female staff

Salama Insurance is currently being run by an all-female staff, to help support  prospective women drivers and vehicle owners. This will be a first for many Saudi women, hence the need for the center to support these clients who will undergo a completely new experience.

We’re proud to employ an entire staff of Saudi women in the call center, sales center, complaints center as well as in the branch

Al-Ajlani added that although there have been banks and telecom companies dedicated to females (female-only branches), this is the first time for an insurance company to follow suit. At the moment, there are already 10 female staff before the planned expansion for Salama Insurance in the near future, according to its CEO Ammar Ghorab.

What the insurance company will offer

  • Counseling and brochures to guide their female clientele
  • A variety of insurance packages
  • Guidance with the steps to insuring a car
  • More comfort and ease for women as it will be in a female-only branch
