The Haramain Train Had Its First Pilot Trip With 200 Citizens From The Kingdom Who Joined Along
The Haramain high-speed train offered its pilot trip for free to citizens of the Kingdom on Friday. Arab News reports that more than 200 residents took the train from Madinah to Makkah on the Haramain Express’ for its test trip.

A tour of the station was given to the citizens prior to the train ride
Genereal Transport Authority’s transport minister and chairman, Nabil Al-Amoudi, joined the citizens on the train. The tour of the station included seeing the departure and arrival lounge, mosque, a civil defense center and even a VIP lounge.

The train station even has a helipad and a parking lots that can be filled with 1,000 vehicle capacity
Residents who took the train on its test journey were reportedly overjoyed and excited about this new initiative having been achieved. Since it parallels with Saudi’s Vision 2030, many of the citizens also expressed their hopes in the train changing the Kingdom’s travel culture on a positive path.
