The Kingdom Has Shut Down 879 Food Spots Due To Poor Hygiene, Expired Food And More
The Jeddah Municipality closed 879 food establishments after discovering, through thorough inspection, that it didn’t comply with the Kingdom’s requirements. According to Saudi Gazette, 16 tonnes of expired and rotten food were also confiscated in the duration of these inspections.

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has launched a new campaign called ‘Your food is a responsibility’
The municipality in Jeddah inspected around 5,600 establishments in the food sector, with 1,874 of those resulting in a necessary issuance of warnings for the violation of health requirements.
These inspections took place cafeterias, pastry shops, nut shops, butcheries and glossary shops.
