The Power of Twitter: Female University Students Are NOW Allowed To Use Their Phones On Campus
Not just phones, but all electronic gadgets! King Saudi University also took a step further by removing the need for male guardian’s approval if a female student wants to leave the campus before 11 AM!
Thousands of students and their parents took to twitter to protest the ban with the hashtag #mobilephonesofBishauniversity which prompted Saudi Education Minister Ahmed Al-Issa to instruct universities to lift a ban on using mobile phone inside universities.
Students and parents courageously complained against female students being searched to hand over phones.
At least 7 public and private university previously had mobile phone bans on female students!
