Rumors have spread on social media in the past weeks of the return of international flights soon, without any official statement from the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

A picture of a statement was circulated in the foreign media as a circular in the name of The Civil Aviation to all airlines!

The authority denied the rumors, and said that it is “baseless and fabricated”

There is no specific date yet for the return of international flights. Spokesman for the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Ibrahim Al-Raisa, told Arab News that the circular is “totally baseless and fabricated.”

He added that the Civil Aviation Authority had previously said that there was no specific date for resuming international flights.

All international flights will be suspended until further notice.

However, exceptions have been made for humanitarian aid, emergency cases, medical evacuation trips, and repatriation of stranded citizens and expatriates wishing to return to their homeland.
