Saudi and US officials have held discussions on the ongoing worrying situation in Afghanistan as the Taliban settled in as rulers of the Central Asian country.
The call took place on Wednesday.
Spoke today with Saudi Foreign Minister @FaisalbinFarhan about ways the international community can support the Afghan people as well as other shared regional priorities.

The pair also discussed the strategic relationship between the Kingdom and the US.
Kabul was seized by the Taliban on Sunday as the national army surrender to the militants and the president, Ashraf Ghani, fled for safety.
Saudi Arabia has managed to evacuate all its staff from Kabul back to safety.
