The annual camel beauty pageant, King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, left a significantly good year for the Kingdom as hopes of the tallest camel in the world is expected to make it into the Guinness World Records. The tall camel, spotted at the festival in Riyadh, broke the previous record of the world’s tallest camel which was 190 centimeters.

This camel is three meters taller than the current tallest camel in the world

According to Al Arabiya, the eight-year-old camel belongs to Sultan al- Rashidi from Ha’il and is one of a kind, since his other two camels aren’t as tall. A supervisor at the camel festival, Fares al-Dalbji, said they had already been in touch with Guinness and is in the preliminary approval stage. Once approved, the camel can then be checked to see if the there’s no other competition for the tallest camel in the world.

The owner of the camel is already being offered SAR 300,000

However, this price might increase after the camel has been registered in Guinness. On Sunday,  a team was sent to the festival to thoroughly examine the camel.

Here’s to hoping he makes it!
