Khashoggi’s disappearance took place on October 2 after being last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Soon after, allegations suggesting he was killed inside the consulate appeared in the media to which, Saudi officials have denied, and cooperated with all investigative requests. The Kingdom has also sent out a team to help Turkish investigators find out what happened to Khashoggi.
International leaders have been discussing the case, and questioning Saudi Arabia’s role in the man’s disappearance, however the Ministry has affirmed it will not tolerate any accusations or political pressures.
