Heavy rains and even some lightning hit the province of Mecca, and along with, showered the abundance of Twitter videos showing just how flooded roads, cars and shops got. GDN reports that schools had to remain closed in the area today (Wednesday) in Mecca, Shaqra’a and Al-Mujamaa due to the weather and sandstorms.
Saudi’s meteorological authority reported the rains that took place in other areas in the Kingdom, like Taif, Asir and Shaqra’a.
The clip below shows worshippers praying the Isha’a as it rained at the Mecca Grand Mosque. How peaceful.
