Videos Of The Lightning and Torrential Rains In Mecca Last Night Look Either Really Scary Or Oddly Mesmerising

Heavy rains and even some lightning hit the province of Mecca, and along with, showered the abundance of Twitter videos showing just how flooded roads, cars and shops got. GDN reports that schools had to remain closed in the area today (Wednesday) in Mecca, Shaqra’a and Al-Mujamaa due to the weather and sandstorms. 

Areas like Asir, Taif, Shaqra’a and others also experienced the heavy raining 

Saudi’s meteorological authority reported the rains that took place in other areas in the Kingdom, like Taif, Asir and Shaqra’a. 

The clip below shows worshippers praying the Isha’a as it rained at the Mecca Grand Mosque. How peaceful.

This video footage shows a brave man rescuing a family stuck in a flood

Faisal al-Shammari, the savior of the family, whose car was stuck in the flood in Hail yesterday.  When asked about his noble actions, Al-Shammari responded saying “What I did is my humanitarian duty.” (via @TopSaudiNews2)
