The first four screen VOX cinema multiplex opened on Tuesday, featuring Avengers: Infinity War as its first film. The theatre, located in the Riyadh Park Mall, was swarmed with excited movie-goers. Ticket prices for cinemas have been causing a stir in Saudi’s social media scene, with particular confusion on the actual standard ticket rates. Previously, it was said that some tickets would cost SAR75 and above, however; VOX Cinemas’ CEO has recently announced their ticket prices. 

And gotta say, it’s not too shabby.

Ticket prices will start at SAR50 and will remain a fixed price 

In a series of tweets about the launch of VOX Cinemas, Saudi Projects announced that the Dubai-based company will sell tickets starting at SAR50, with no seasonal prices and this cost will remain a fixed one. Phew. 

VOX Cinemas in Riyadh is now open to everyone

For now, films are set to be released on a weekly basis, starting it off with Wednesdays. Tickets can be bought online (their website) or via the ticketing windows.
