With Just Two Days To Go Before Saudi Women Take To The Streets The First Batch Of Female Accident Investigators Graduate

As the day when women finally get to drive inching closer preparations are going on full swing. According to Al Arabiya English, a batch of 40 female vehicle accident investigators have graduated in a ceremony held in Riyadh.

These women were trained by the General Directorate of Traffic and Najm Insurance Company.

Among those attending the ceremony included Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Bassami, Director-General of Traffic General and Fahd Bin Ibrahim Al-Aqeel, CEO of Najm.

Al Arabiya English reports that Al-Aqeel has stressed the importance of involving women in the management and handling of traffic accidents, which contributes to the implementation of the supreme decision to allow women to drive and to ensure the best solutions in emergency situations.

The 40 graduates went through an intensive training program.

They were initially selected based on three main criteria that included language proficiency, absence of criminal record and acceptance of the morning and evening shift system.
