Saudi Arabia is making a lot of changes to its visa structures be it in the prices that are being charged for visit visas to a whole set of new tourism related visas. One of the country’s most recent changes to its visa policy is the introduction of the “Gold Card.”

According to Arab News, the Gold Card is an extended residence program that will be applicable to the best of the best of international talent.

Now to bring in the cream of the crop, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development has hired the services of several consultants and agencies to develop various incentives to lure international talent.

The extended visa program is part of the Quality of Life 2020 Program and one of its aims is listed as to make Saudis more accepting of foreign cultures and to promote Saudi culture at the same time.

There is one catch though as the visa won’t be ready just yet, the implementation process will run for 32 months.
