Transportation is about to get a little speedier and easier from Sunday when Saudi Railway Company (AR) starts operating their new daily train services between Riyadh and Hail, as well as Riyadh and Al-Qassim. Saudi Gazette reports that the new service is being rolled out on the same day they launched their first train service, Feb. 26 of last year. 

The decision to operate new service takes into account the demands of commuters. The Riyadh –Hail train passes through Al-Majmaa and Al-Qassim. The train starts from Riyadh at 9.30 a.m. and leaves Hail at 3.25 p.m. on a return journey on a daily basis.

There will be morning round-trips between Riyadh, Majmaa and Al-Qassim every Thursday and Saturday 

Details about the train services, including ticket prices and daily schedules are available on their official website. SAR is fully owned by Saudi’s Public Investment Fund and it first came to light eight years ago as a service line for the transporting of minerals, petroleum and petrochemicals.
