Creative Studio is a week-long event for art lovers, artists and art appreciators in Saudi Arabia. It will hold not just as a platform for visual artists to showcase their work but for others to learn, grow and share this passion for the arts.

It’s not going to be another one of those non-interactive exhibitions that will require you to do nothing but walk around and gaze.

1. It’s an event for all ages- wether you’re 5 or 50 you’ll still have fun

The main purpose of the event is to empower creativity through traditional family and community values, which means children and adults of all ages are more than welcome to enjoy this event.

It’s a week-long event that will have workshops, seminars, a cozy lounge area, art galleries and MORE.

2. There are workshops for photographers, videographers and other types of visual artists

Workshops will be available at specific rates depending on which one you choose to attend. They’re a great way to learn the techniques-of-the-trade the quickest way possible. The best part is whether you’re in fashion or wedding photography, movie-making and even graphic design. There are several options of these to pick from.

3. The Maze Experience will most likely be the HIGHLIGHT of the event

The Maze Experience is exactly as it sounds but a thousand times BETTER. If you’ve experienced walking in a maze, imagine walking in one that allows your imaginative mind to experience multi-dimensional scenarios.

There’s to be 21 different sections to the maze, a couple of the themes being: a candy wonderland escape, clouds, a jungle and a cave- to name a few.

Also, everyone attending this event will have no choice since The Maze Experience is the only way to enter the hall. Only after completing this adventurous maze will visitors get to visit the other sections of the hall.

4. Guest speakers from across the region will be sharing their knowledge

Speakers like Naif Alkhairallah, Sarah Al Sayegh, Jaan Al Balushi and Awdh Alhamzani will be speaking at the theatre hall, ready to share what they know.

5. A two-day painting workshop for budding artists will also be intact

Khalifa Showaiter will teach an intro to oil painting for beginners and another for professionals. Each costs SAR 800 with limited seats, so book ahead if interested.

6. Nab some great deals at their photography equipment garage sale

A chance for professional and aspiring photographers/videographers to purchase or sell their items at discounted rates.

7. There’s going to be a Coffee Lounge too

A coffee/chill lounge will be available, plus food and drink outlets.

8. An array of artworks from local artists will also be on display and some for sale

You can view other artists’ work in the art gallery section and even purchase, if you end up liking a specific piece.

Creative Studio will run for seven days between the 20th October until the 26th. Adult tickets are priced SAR 85 and children above 6 years old for SAR 35. Tickets may be purchased here.

Time: From 4 p.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: Osha Event Hall, Ad Diriyah, Riyadh

Please note that it is free entry for children between the ages 5-6 and the elderly aged over 60, as well as those with special needs.
