Over Half A Million Expats Have Left The Saudi Job Market In One Year Alone

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) and General Authority for Statistics’ most recent figures have presented a startling find.

The figures as reported in the Saudi Gazette show that a total of 571,333 expatriates have left the Kingdom’s labour market.

The figures presented in the report include data from both the public and private sectors.

By the end of June this year, there were 6,135,126 expatriates in the local labor market, down from 6,706,459 at the end of June 2020.

However, the number of Saudis working in both the public and private sectors has increased.

By the end of June this year, the numbers of Saudis registered on GOSI had risen to 2,064,597, up from 1,940,646.
