Saudi Hosts The Signing Of Power-sharing Agreement Between Yemeni Government And Southern Transitional Council

Avatar

Saudi Arabia has always sought peace and reconciliation among Arabs and Muslims. For this reason, Riyadh hosted the signing of an agreement between the Yemeni government and the southern transitional council in Aden last night.

The two sides signed a joint agreement after great efforts on the part of the Saudi government and strategic partners in the UAE government to stop the conflict in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia persisted in its efforts even after recent conflicts. Attempts at reconciliation continued until reconciliation was achieved.

It is noteworthy that the Riyadh agreement 2019 is not the first agreement in favor of Yemen. The kingdom always pursues the interests of the neighboring countries, which was shown when Taif hosted a treaty to demarcate the border between the two countries in1934.

Several decades later, the Kingdom hosted the reconciliation between the northern Yemenis after the collapse of the Imams’ regime and the conflict between the republic and imams’ forces.
