{"id":1109,"date":"2017-12-23T12:13:04","date_gmt":"2017-12-23T12:13:04","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2017-12-23T12:13:04","modified_gmt":"2017-12-23T12:13:04","slug":"some-people-will-be-exempted-from-the-dependent-tax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/riyadh\/en\/news\/announcements\/some-people-will-be-exempted-from-the-dependent-tax\/","title":{"rendered":"This Is Not A Drill: Some People Will Be EXEMPTED From The Dependent Tax"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It has been reported that the Council of Saudi Chambers had requested higher authorities to review the expat dependent levy to prevent disrupting the completion of projects for vision 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the budgets for these projects had been planned before the launch of the levy and the tax would impact them, reports\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/saudiexpatriate.com\/dependent-tax-exempted-expat-workers-vision-2030\/\" target=\"_blank\">Saudi Expatriates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>The Council requested that the Cabinet exempt expat workers working on projects for Vision 2030 from the dependent tax<\/h3>\n<p>The Cabinet held a meeting with its Commission of Experts and the latter approved the proposal after studying its feasibility &#8211; public sector projects will be exempted from this tax.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the dependent tax?<\/h3>\n<p>SAR100 per month on each dependent of an expat has been levied in the Kingdom since June of his year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The dependent tax is to be increased to SAR 200 in 2018, SAR 300 in 2019 and SR 400 in 2020 per dependent member of the expatriate family.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu_mid\">\n<div id=\"mpu_mid\" class=\"c-adunit__container\"> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It has been reported that the Council of Saudi Chambers had requested higher authorities to review the expat dependent levy to prevent disrupting the completion of projects for vision 2030.
