{"id":34970,"date":"2022-03-18T10:27:24","date_gmt":"2022-03-18T07:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/riyadh\/en\/?p=34970"},"modified":"2022-03-18T10:28:22","modified_gmt":"2022-03-18T07:28:22","slug":"yoga-will-soon-be-part-of-saudi-school-curriculums-as-a-sport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/riyadh\/en\/latest\/yoga-will-soon-be-part-of-saudi-school-curriculums-as-a-sport\/","title":{"rendered":"Yoga Will Soon Be Part Of Saudi School Curriculums As A Sport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With all children returning to school from the third semester onwards, they could expect to see a new sport during their PE lessons \u2013 yoga.<\/p>\n<h2>Nouf Al-Marwaai, the president of the Saudi Yoga Committee, has stated that yoga would be introduced as a sport in Saudi schools soon.<\/h2>\n<p>This comes a few years after the landmark 2017 approval of the practice and teaching of yoga by the Ministry of Commerce.<\/p>\n<p>An introductory lecture on yoga took place on the 9th of March that saw school principals and PE teachers from around the kingdom in attendance.
