{"id":3634,"date":"2019-04-19T12:11:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-19T12:11:10","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2019-04-19T12:11:10","modified_gmt":"2019-04-19T12:11:10","slug":"saudi-aramco-is-set-to-buy-a-huge-stake-in-an-indian-companys-refinery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovin.co\/riyadh\/en\/news\/saudi-aramco-is-set-to-buy-a-huge-stake-in-an-indian-companys-refinery\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Aramco Is Set To Buy A Huge Stake In An Indian Company&#8217;s Refinery"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"c-adunit c-adunit--mpu\">\n<div id=\"mpu\" class=\"c-adunit__container\">  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The media is rife with speculation of a supposed Saudi <a href=\"https:\/\/lovinsaudi.com\/news\/announcements\/saudi-aramco-will-have-its-own-petrol-stations-soon\">Aramco<\/a>investment in an Indian company.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/a31bb1d6-60f4-11e9-b285-3acd5d43599e\">Financial Times,<\/a> Saudi Aramco is in talks with India\u2019s Reliance Industries to obtain a stake in the latter\u2019s refining and petrochemical business.<\/p>\n<h3>The newspaper reports that Saudi Aramco is looking a 25% stake valuing somewhere in between $10 \u2013 15 billion.<\/h3>\n<p>Reliance Industries runs India\u2019s largest refining and petrochemical complex that processes about 1.4 million barrels of oil a day.<\/p>\n<p>This won\u2019t be Saudi Aramco first investment in India as they already have committed along with a consortium of companies to build a refinery and petrochemicals complex in the state of Maharashtra.
