In a groundbreaking move for gender equality, the Saudi Shoura Council has officially welcomed 19 new female members, significantly advancing women’s role in the Kingdom’s legislative process<\/h2>\n

With women now making up 20% of the 150-member council, this development highlights Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to increasing female representation in leadership positions.<\/p>\n

The change comes following a royal decree from King Salman, which reconstituted the Shoura Council for the next four Hijri years starting from 3\/3\/1446<\/h2>\n

The decree also confirmed key leadership roles, with Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh continuing as speaker, and Dr. Mishaal Al-Salami and Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi stepping in as deputy speaker and assistant speaker, respectively. Dr. Al-Ahmadi stands out as a prominent figure in this new lineup.<\/p>\n
