The football world\u2019s shakeup continues as a Saudi club makes another big signing, this time in the form of Steven Gerrard, who has been roped in to coach Dammam-based Al Ettifaq.<\/p>\n

Gerrard apparently had a bunch of job offers lined up, but rumors started swirling about a proposal from Saudi Arabia. At first, he declined it, even after visiting the country. But then talks resumed, and he finally came on board reports Sports Bible.<\/p>\n

The former England star\u2019s appointment is quite significant, especially considering the recent wave of high-profile players joining Saudi clubs.<\/h2>\n

Anyway, Al Ettifaq officially announced Gerrard’s appointment on Monday. To mark the occasion, they even shared a video of him attempting to speak Arabic. It was quite the sight! The 43-year-old tried his best to address the club’s fans in Arabic.<\/p>\n
