Maher Al Ghanem has been on a serious collecting spree for over 55 years. He’s gathered up like 250,000 artefacts from all sorts of different times and big events. And now? He’s got them all set up in this museum in Qatif that he opened for the public last year.<\/p>\n

Expect things like ancient pottery, weapons from big wars like World War I, and even some rare gems.<\/p>\n

But wait, there’s more! They’ve got this massive 8-metre-long Quran that\u2019s a major draw here.<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll also get to see the first-ever TV brought into Saudi Arabia from back in the 1950s, when Aramco, the big oil company, was in its early days.<\/h2>\n

Maher’s got old-school radios from the 1930s and ’40s, and he even has an old government licence you needed back in the day to own a radio.<\/p>\n

But what\u2019s perhaps the biggest \u201cwow\u201d in his collection are the artefacts from the Gulf War. It’s like stepping back in time, right there in Al Qatif.
