Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The COVID Delta Variant
The COVID Delta variant is spreading fast in many parts of the world and is becoming a concern globally.
The variant was first identified in India and has spread to at least 77 countries
In the US, for example, the Delta variant now makes up 20 percent of all cases.
Studies to date suggest the Delta variant is between 40 and 60 percent more transmissible than the Alpha variant and there is also some indication that the variant may result in more severe diseases.
No cases have been reported in Saudi Arabia so far but there have been some cases in the region.
Fortunately, vaccination appears to provide good protection against Delta

Delta strains are also evident to affect children more than adults so everyone, regardless of age, is encouraged to get vaccinated
