Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a deep rotted shared history and faith and with more than 2 million Pakistanis living and working in the Kingdom, the ties continue to be particularly strong.

And a lot came out of the recent visit made by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan, to the Kindom.

One major outcome is the building of a mosque named after Saudi Arabia’s King Salman at the International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan

The planned mosque, which will be located at the university’s campus, includes a prayer hall for men accommodating 4,000 worshipers and another for women accommodating 2000 worshipers.

The project also contains a museum and a library each in the name of King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Conferences Hall, an administrative area, and a parking lot.

There will also be outdoor yards that can accommodate 6,000 people.
