Look At That! Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport Launches A New Internal Train
This is the first service of its kind in any of the Kingdom’s airports!
An internal train service has been launched in Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport for use by all passengers inside the new airport terminal, Terminal 1.
The track is 1km in length and has the capacity for over 4,000 passengers per hour with 65 passengers per vehicle. You’ll spend 85 seconds travelling between each station and your wait time at the station will be a maximum of 170 seconds.

King Abdulaziz International Airport has a capacity of 30 million passengers
The third phase has the capacity for 80 million passengers, it will welcome both domestic and international travel and feature self-service passenger options and 46 aircraft gates

The airport is currently operating a small number of flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic
