The aggravation of standing in long queues at the embassy and meticulously gathering the required documents to obtain a visa can be enough of a deterrent for many to drop the idea of travelling altogether.

The Saudi passport is consistently improving in the passport rankings and now holders of Saudi passports are being allowed to enter several countries with a visa on arrival or e-visa facility. Luckily, there are four such European countries that offer that facility to Saudi citizens. And, yes they are fabulous and have lots of things to do for tourists.

So next time you feel like jet setting away from the desert to the lush green farmlands of Europe you may want to consider one of these visiting four countries.

1. Belarus

Though Belarus is not one of the most popular places to visit amongst tourists, the country is home to fabled medieval castles, soothing cityscapes and rich national parks. Tourists from Saudi are required to land at the Minsk International Airport upon which they will be given a 30-day visa on arrival.

2. Bosnia and Herzegovina

For Saudis, it is like Europe except here halal food and mosques are almost everywhere. So yes, it hugely popular amongst Saudi tourists. However, the visa on arrival facility is extended only to those Saudi nationals who hold a valid Schengen visa.

3. Georgia

It is debatable whether Georgia is in Europe or Asia, but without getting much into the debate one thing is for sure that it is European influence that thrives in the country. In recent times it has seen surges of Saudi tourists flocking to the country as they offer visa on arrival facility for free to Saudi citizens. Georgia has even extended that facility to Saudi iqama holders as well. Flights are pretty cheap too, so what are you waiting for?

4. Turkey
