A 35-Year-Old Saudi Football Player Died And Fans Sent Their Condolences By Starting A Trending Hashtag
Former Saudi football player Sultan Al Burqan who has played for a number of local clubs has succumbed to a deadly illness earlier this week.
The exact illness is not known but Saudi Twitter speculated it to be brain cancer.
The 35-year-old was a prominent sports critic and played as a midfielder for teams like Al Hilal, Al Ittefaq and Al Raed.
Condolences from across the country started pouring in as the news broke out and the Arabic hashtag سلطان_البرقان started to trend
